Upon shipment to GPM’s MSP shop the inspection process will begin. Your mechanical seal will be photographed completely throughout the entire inspection process. Special attention will be spent on seal faces, gasket, and hardware. All seal inspection reports will include photographs, observations, and recommendations for longer mean time between failures.

Duluth, Minnesota: Rob West, CEO of GPM, Inc. announced Tom Sieger as Chief Financial Officer. Sieger, an employee of GPM since 2013, was formerly the Controller for the company. In this role, Sieger will oversee all financial aspects of the company as GPM continues to grow by adding new pump products and capabilities for use in mining, power generation, refining and wherever process water is being used.
Sieger has over 30 years of experience in finance, administration and operations. He most recently worked as the Controller and Production Manager at Global Device Management in Duluth. Sieger holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Duluth, MN: Rob West, CEO of GPM, Inc., announced today that Terry King was appointed as the Director of Engineering for the company. In this role, King will oversee all aspects of engineering and design within GPM, as well as coordinate efforts for special engineered products.
King brings with him extensive experience in engineering management and over 30 years of industrial manufacturing experience, including heavy machining plant management, foundry and fabrication. He most recently worked as the General Manager of American Precision Avionics in Duluth. King is a graduate from Iowa State University and holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. In addition, King is a Certified Practitioner of Inventory Management (CPIM) and a member of the American Production Inventory Control Society (APICS).
“Terry is a very talented individual and we are thrilled to have him join the GPM family,” said West. “He brings valuable engineering and manufacturing experience to our senior management that will complement our future plans for growth.”

Duluth, MN: GPM, Inc. (GPM) is pleased to announce the addition of two new hires to their engineering and warehouse teams, and three new roles for existing GPM employees, all at the Company’s Duluth location. Ryan Schmidt was hired as Service Engineer and Jamie Solem as Warehouse Worker and Driver. Matt Dague was appointed as the new OEM Engineering Manager, Sam Hodel was named OEM Engineer and Nancy Swanson was named Administrative Assistant.
Ryan Schmidt comes to GPM with a background rich in sales and customer service. Schmidt’s duties as Service Engineer at GPM will include collaborating with service and engineering teams to generate accurate inspection reports and repair quotes, fielding customer inquiries, customer problem resolution, supply chain sourcing and service documentation. Schmidt attended the University of Wisconsin-Superior where he studied Business and Marketing. He formerly worked at The Fastenal Company as an Outside Sales Representative.
Jamie Solem joins GPM as Warehouse Worker and Driver. In this position, Solem will assist with all aspects of keeping the GPM warehouse running smoothly, including loading and unloading shipments, maintaining inventory, filling and shipping sales orders and more, all while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Solem formerly worked at Duluth Pack in Duluth, MN.
Matt Dague was appointed as the new OEM Engineering Manager. Dague started with GPM as an intern and for the past three years was a full-time OEM Engineer with the Company. Dague’s new duties include supervising other OEM engineers and staff, developing OEM project charters and schedules, overseeing product engineering, analysis, design and testing and creating accurate project records. Along with those duties, Dague will be overseeing major engineering projects within GPM including NEC cable changes, mechanical layout of GPM-Eliminator™ high-head pumps and vendor motor changes. Dague has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Sam Hodel was named OEM Engineer. Hodel started with GPM as an intern in 2012 and joined the Company full-time as Service Engineer in 2013. As an OEM Engineer, Hodel will be in charge of creating procedures and processes, along with tooling and fixtures for the shop floor. He will work with the GPM engineering team to aid in the quality-manufacturing program and product troubleshooting, along with developing engineering bulletins. Hodel has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Duluth-Minnesota.
Nancy Swanson was named Administrative Assistant. Swanson has been with GPM for nine years, starting as a receptionist and branching into an involved HR position. In her new role, Swanson will be responsible for various administrative aspects such as payroll and benefits, supply ordering, facilities maintenance and processing customer orders using a variety of vendor entry systems.
Duluth, MN: GPM, Inc. (GPM) is pleased to announce multiple new hires to the company’s administrative, engineering and sales teams. At GPM’s Duluth location, Luke Esboldt joined as Applications Engineer, Daniel Hon was brought on as OEM CAD Project Leader and Mary Willemarck was hired as Receptionist and Administrative Assistant. At GPM’s Apple Valley location, Chris Kinner was brought on as Outside Sales Engineer.
Luke Esboldt comes to GPM with a variety of skills in project design, logistics and project reviews. In the role of Applications Engineer at GPM, Esboldt will take on responsibilities such as assisting with engineered products, project management, sales support, customer support and other associated tasks. Esboldt received a Mechanical Engineering degree from NDSU and formerly worked as a Boiler Systems Engineer with both Consumers Energy in Midland, MI, and Xcel Energy in Becker, MN.
Daniel Hon joins GPM as an OEM CAD Project Leader, bringing with him 17 years of experience in engineering design and manufacturing. In his role at GPM, Hon will generate 3-D CAD models, designs and 2-D drawings for new and existing GPM products and parts, while collaborating with manufacturing to ensure parts are made correctly to the designs. Hon holds a Computer Aided Design Technology diploma from Lake Superior College in Duluth, MN. Hon joins GPM after previously working as a Designer Specialist for Cirrus Aircraft, also located in Duluth.
Mary Willemarck brings ten years of experience in administrative roles to her new position as Receptionist and Administrative Assistant for GPM. In this role, Willemarck will direct all incoming calls, assist in administrative tasks and create sales orders and vendor purchase orders. Willemarck joins GPM after past positions as a Scheduler for Regency Home Health Care and an Administrative Assistant for Essentia Health, both located in Duluth, MN.
Chris Kinner joins the GPM sales team as an Outside Sales Engineer based out of GPM’s Apple Valley, MN, office. Kinner brings nearly ten years of industrial sales experience, along with direct experience with mechanical seals, process mixers, steam turbines and pump systems. As Outside Sales Engineer, Kinner will be responsible for developing sales leads, updating sales outlooks and reports and promoting and supporting GPM service capabilities. Kinner has a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and formerly worked for Philadelphia Mixing Solutions Ltd. in Minneapolis, MN, as Regional Sales Manager.
Duluth, MN: Peter Gemuenden, chairman of GPM, Inc. (GPM) announced Gary Davidson as Director of New Product Development and Research and Michael Dawson as Director of Engineering. Davidson, a longtime GPM engineer and former Director of Engineering, will be responsible for developing new products and implementing a sales strategy for GPM’s new line of mixer pumps. Dawson, a GPM employee since 2006 and former Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) Engineering Manager, will oversee all aspects of engineering and design within GPM, as well as coordinating efforts for special engineered products. Both Davidson and Dawson will continue to serve critical roles at GPM as the Company continues to expand its product lines to meet market demands and increase its sales coverage to include the Bakken oil fields and the Western US.

Davidson has been employed with GPM for over 14 years, as both an engineer and also in sales. Most recently, Davidson spearheaded the development of GPM’s new line of mixer pumps, developed for the Department of Defense. This new line of pumps will be used for nuclear waste management, keeping highly toxic slurry in suspension while it’s contained in large tanks.
Dawson, formerly of Minnesota Power, has provided engineering support and leadership in the development and manufacturing of GPM’s OEM pump line, the GPM-Eliminator™.
Duluth, MN: GPM, Inc. (GPM) is pleased to announce David Wilson as Regional Sales Manager for the Western US market. Wilson joins GPM as part of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Sales Group and will be responsible for monitoring and managing the sales of GPM-Eliminator™ products to the Company’s distribution network. Wilson will also focus on strengthening GPM’s growing presence in both mining and industrial industries throughout the Western US.
Wilson joins GPM with more than 25 years of industrial sales experience with concentrations in mining, pulp and paper, processing and power industries. Most recently, Wilson served as a Regional Manager for ITT Manufacturing Company where he was responsible for managing and growing distributor territories.

Duluth, MN: GPM, Inc. (GPM) is pleased to announce the addition of Mike Krebs to their Inside Sales team at the company’s Bismarck, North Dakota office. Krebs brings a diverse sales background, including working in the insurance and imaging solution product industries. Most recently, Krebs was with Fireside Office Solutions in Bismarck, employed as Imaging/Electronic Content Management Specialist.

Krebs graduated from Bismarck’s University of Mary in 2010 with a degree in Finance and Business Administration. As a GPM Inside Sales Associate, Krebs will be directly supporting the outside sales staff. Krebs will also be responsible for a broad range of products and sales opportunities and the proper selection of pumps and motors according to customer requirements.
Duluth, MN: GPM, Inc. (GPM) is excited to announce the addition of Chad Bannor to the Bismarck, North Dakota office as Outside Sales Associate, specializing in the oil and gas industries. Bannor will be responsible for business development throughout the North Dakota oil fields. He will focus on strengthening GPM’s growing presence, meeting with new customers and addressing their site needs.

Bannor joins GPM with an extensive background and experience in the North Dakota oil fields. Most recently, Bannor was employed in the Bakken oil fields as a roughneck for Ensign United States Drilling and as a field technician for BOS Solutions in solids control. Bannor will bring firsthand experience to the table as he serves the Bakken oil fields with the GPM-Eliminator™ line of pumps and other pumping solutions from GPM.
Duluth, MN: On March 10, 2014, Jim Huncovsky, Manager of Procurement for Basin Electric Power Cooperative, announced that GPM, Inc. had achieved the Preferred Supplier classification according to the Basin Electric supplier quality assurance program. Out of the many suppliers who do business with Basin Electric, only the top eighteen achieve Preferred Supplier level.
Basin Electric uses a comprehensive list of quality metrics to grade suppliers as part of their Supplier Quality Assurance Process. GPM scored high in accuracy of orders, amongst other categories. GPM received an increased overall evaluation score of 3.6 in 2013 compared to 3.4 in 2012. GPM’s Delivery Quality Performance report improved from 98.6% in 2012 to 99.7% in 2013, a rating deemed outstanding by Basin Electric.
GPM employees were also recognized for their level of support and problem solving. “Evaluators had positive comments regarding the level of support GPM sales staff provides,” the report stated. “GPM, Inc. continues to be a dependable and reliable supplier for Basin Electric Power Cooperative and Dakota Gasification.” GPM is very pleased to accept this recognition as a 2014 Preferred Supplier for Basin Electric.
