GPM Celebrates Barb Myhre ~ 30 Years of Service

Duluth, MN: GPM, Inc. today announced the 30-year anniversary of Barb Myhre, who works in the company’s Bismarck, ND office.

Myhre joined GPM in 1986, and was hired by the company’s founder, Pete Gemuenden Sr.  Her role in customer service has been pivotal to the success and growth of GPM. “Barb has set the standards of integrity, knowledge and passion to serve our customers”, stated Gemuenden.  “Her example of 30 years of service surpasses all training models of what makes for a valuable employee.”

Myhre’ s contributions to sales support and customer service have been formative to GPM’s distribution business unit. “Barb’s commitment to excellence is inspiring,” said Bob Gemuenden, VP and GM of GPM Distribution, Inc. “She exemplifies our core values and her grit and passion for taking care of our customers both internally and externally, is what we are building our future on.”

GPM, Inc. Announces New Leasing and Finance Partnership

Duluth, MN: GPM, Inc. (GPM) announced a new pump leasing and financing program designed to enable customers to obtain new GPM-EliminatorTM pumps without incurring immediate capital expense. Tax and equipment finance leases are now available for qualified customers through a partnership with Northland Capital Financial Services.

“This program will be valuable for many existing and new GPM customers,” stated Rob West, CEO of GPM, Inc., “The application process is simple and cost-effective, and the interest rates are very competitive. Most importantly, it preserves capital.”

Any GPM-EliminatorTM pump or pump system is eligible for the leasing program. Term lengths are available for 24, 36, 48 or 60 months. Northland Capital will own the equipment during the lease and at the end of the term the customer owns the equipment. Depending on the size of the purchase, applications may be processed in as little as 24 hours, but rarely more than three days. GPM’s industry-leading one-year warranty applies to leased pumps just as it does to direct purchased pumps. There are two options available:

Tax Lease

  • Works like a car lease
  • Monthly payment from 24 to 60 months, customer decides
  • Customer takes the cost as a direct (operating) expense
  • No depreciation expense
  • At the end of the lease term: Customer owns equipment outright usually for $100 or less

Equipment Finance Lease

  • Works like an equipment loan
  • Customer takes the depreciation – Consult your tax advisor and see if Section 179 of the Tax Code applies, which means customers can accelerate depreciation schedules on new capital equipment up to a $500,000 cap
  • At the end of the lease term: Customer pays a low fee (usually $100 or less) to get the title for the equipment

GPM ANNOUNCES NEW ORDER MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST – GPM DISTRIBUTION, INC.

Duluth, MN: GPM, Inc. is pleased to announce that Nancy Swanson has accepted the position of Order Management Specialist for GPM Distribution, Inc.

In this new position, Swanson will be responsible for processing, managing and invoicing orders. She will also work with management to develop and implement ordering procedures across GPM Distribution’s branch offices.

Swanson has been with GPM for 10 years starting as a receptionist. In that time, she has served in administrative roles with increasing importance and responsibility.

GPM ANNOUNCES NEW SALES ENGINEER IN DULUTH, MN– INDUSTRIAL SOLUTIONS & PRODUCTS

Duluth, MN: Bob Gemuenden, VP of Sales for the Industrial Solutions and Products division of GPM, Inc. announced Luke Esboldt as Sales Engineer in the Duluth, MN office effective December 1, 2015.

Esboldt joined GPM in 2014 as an Application Engineer.  His responsibilities included providing critical engineering assistance to internal sales and customers, both domestic and international.  Additionally, he served as engineering’s project lead on GPM’s high head Eliminator pumps.

Prior to joining GPM, Esboldt held positions as a reliability systems engineer for Consumers Energy, as well as plant systems engineer for Xcel Energy. Luke has 10+ years of experience in coal, gas, and oil fired power plants with a focus on reliability engineering and maintenance of stationery and rotating equipment. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Dakota State University, in addition to being trained and certified in several technical and professional practices.

Working out of the Duluth, MN office, Esboldt will be responsible for a significant territory in GPM’s northern region. “Luke’s practical technical experience will provide pivotal support to customers in this territory,” said Gemuenden.

GPM ANNOUNCES NEW WESTERN REGIONAL SALES MANAGER – INDUSTRIAL SOLUTIONS & PRODUCTS

Duluth, MN: Bob Gemuenden, VP of Sales for the Industrial Solutions and Products division of GPM, Inc. announced Chris Morgan as Western Regional Sales Manager. Morgan, a GPM employee since 2008, will join GPM’s Bismarck office and be responsible for growing GPM’s western region which has rich opportunity in the oil, gas, power generation, mining, refinery and agriculture markets.

Morgan came to GPM with several years of successful sales experience, in addition to previously working in operations and maintenance at Murphy Oil. His initial role at GPM was to drive sales efforts in the U.P., northern Wisconsin and targeted accounts in northern Minnesota.  His accomplishments growing these markets led to him being promoted to the Northern Regional Sales Manager where he has successfully managed three sales territories.
