GPM Strengthens Service Team in Duluth and Minneapolis Service & Repair Centers

Duluth, MN: August 21, 2018 – GPM, Inc. (GPM) is pleased to announce the company has added depth and expertise to their Service & Repair Center team with additions of several new hires and promotions in their Duluth and Minneapolis (MSP) Service & Repair Center locations.

Ryan Schmidt has been promoted to Service Project Manager. Schmidt, in his previous role as Service Coordinator, played an integral role in expanding GPM’s equipment inspection and reporting process and implementation, while coordinating shop scheduling activities. In his new role, Schmidt will manage strategic account service projects in the field and out of the Duluth Service & Repair Center.  

Jake Mellinger has been promoted to Service Coordinator for the Duluth Service & Repair Center. Mellinger has six years of experience at GPM, beginning on the warehouse team then transitioning as a service technician for the past four years. During his time as a service technician, Mellinger was instrumental in the improvement and advancement of service procedures for the GPM-Eliminator™, and conducted pump service training for North American customers. Mellinger’s technical background and experience at GPM provide a significant boost to the increased demand on service coordination, and help to improve the efficiency of GPM processes.

Jacy Greensky has rejoined the Duluth Service & Repair Center as a Service Technician, after pursuing continuing education. Greensky originally joined GPM in 2015, and now has over two years of experience working on GPM-Eliminator repairs. With GPM’s growing customer base, he is a vital asset in pump repairs and service in the Duluth Service & Repair Center.

Greg Chester joined GPM in June, 2018 as a Blower Repair Specialist at GPM’s MSP Service & Repair Center. GPM Pumps Parts & Service recently partnered with Howden Roots, expanding the company’s presence in the rotary blower market. Chester joined forces with GPM, bringing with him over 29 years of blower service, repair and sales experience. He will continue to lead blower service efforts, while also growing his consultative role in the GPM salesforce.

Ryan Nowaskey joined the MSP Service & Repair Center in July, 2018 as a Service Manager. Nowaskey most recently managed a Mechanical Seal Service Center where he demonstrated the ability to improve service efficiencies, on-time delivery and quality control. This experience will play a key role in the continued growth of the MSP Service & Repair Center.

GPM Announces New Strategic Business Development Manager and Western Regional Sales Manager

Duluth, MN: June 27, 2018 – In addition to celebrating 40-years as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the GPM-Eliminator series of submersible and horizontal slurry pumps, including representation of 15 lines of industry-leading technologies related to rotational equipment, GPM, Inc. (GPM) is pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Morgan to Strategic Business Development Manager and the addition of Ross Nilles as the Western Regional Sales Manager.


Chris Morgan has an impressive history with GPM, beginning his experience at the company in 2008, working to drive sales efforts in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. He then was promoted to the Northern Regional Sales Manager, where he successfully managed three sales territories, and most recently held a position as the Western Regional Sales Manager. In his new position as the Strategic Business Development Manager, Morgan will develop and maintain strategic accounts to build GPM’s presence and foster key relationships in the industry. He will work with all GPM representatives, engaging in equipment and rotational equipment service and repair opportunities spanning the entire upper Midwest for GPM distribution.

Ross Nilles, with extensive commissioning and engineering experience, will be taking over Morgan’s previous position as the Western Regional Sales Manager. An energy industry professional with over 10 years of experience with major capital projects in the Power and Oil and Gas Industries, Nilles most recently held a position as a Commissioning Engineer with Kiewit Energy in Lusby, Maryland. In his new role with GPM, Nilles will be responsible for developing relationships with new and existing GPM customers to generate brand awareness and leads for the company. He will manage the sales engineering team for North Dakota, western South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming.

GPM, Inc. Announces Brandi Beach Elected to Energy Generation Conference Committee

Duluth, MN: February 15, 2018 – GPM, Inc. (GPM) is pleased to announce that Brandi Beach has been elected to serve on the Energy Generation Conference (EGC) Planning Committee, which meets in the Bismarck, North Dakota area. The EGC is a cooperative effort among producers, suppliers and educators to promote competitive, efficient and safe energy production. The annual event showcases over 315 exhibitors and offers over 25 continuing education and professional development sessions. Over the past 30 years the EGC has grown from 100 participants into an international event attended by over 2,700. Beach will begin serving on the planning committee in March.

Beach, a native of Bismarck, studied business administration with a management and marketing emphasis at the University of Mary. She has been with GPM since 2008. Beach brings to the planning committee over 20 years of sales, marketing, event planning and corporate strategy experience in the technology and energy industries.  

The original EGC planning committee had eight members, with eight company sponsors. Today, there are 30 members on the planning committee, and 27 supporting companies. In 2018, the EGC saw 318 exhibitors and over 2,400 attendees.

GPM-Eliminator Saves Glencore Millions

While at Glencore’s Nickel Rim South mine, Bryan Wilson, now General Manager at Lac des Iles mine in Ontario, was challenged with improving the mine’s underground sump dewatering and solids removal system. Bryan’s ultimate solution was the GPM-EliminatorTM pump, for its capabilities in pumping solids and converting to a well-type sump, now coined the “Wilson Sump”, from the traditional underground sumps. GPM, Inc. Announces Peter G. Haines as New Chief Executive Officer

Duluth, MN: July 13, 2017 – Peter Gemuenden, Chairman and President of GPM, Inc. (GPM) is pleased to announce the company has selected Peter G. Haines as the new Chief Executive Officer. Haines will begin his duties as CEO on July 17, 2017, and will be replacing Rob West, GPM’s CEO for the past five years. West will continue to serve the organization as a Director for the Board.

The selection of Haines concludes an extensive national search for the CEO position, which received over 500 applicants. Haines’ impressive career profile, proven leadership skills and financial management experience will be invaluable to GPM. His professional oversight has transformed many profitable organizations, energizing individuals and teams in marketing, sales, engineering, operations and service functions.

Haines has an extensive background in sales, marketing and general management, most recently serving as Vice President of Business Development for BioBlend Renewable Resources, LLC. Haines began his career in 1985 with Lubrication Engineers, Inc. in Texas, quickly rising to Vice President and General Sales Manager. He transitioned to AMSOIL, INC. in 2002 as the company’s first “outside” member of senior management and joined Halvor Lines, Inc. in 2012 where he focused on fuel strategies and sustainability.

Haines holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of North Dakota. He has also been a member of several local community-based organizations, including the United Way, Rotary International and APEX. His professional associations include the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association (ILMA) and more. Haines lives in Esko, Minnesota with his wife and son.
